Kid-Friendly Sunday Brunching

Pavlovian inspired, saliva-inducing, gastronomical lust is how we would describe Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca’s Instagram feed.  They had us at chilled lobster and oysters but kept us scrolling for their translucent pastel cocktails, tiled tables amassed with Italian craveables and a vibe so hypnotically fresh it’ll make you want to dine al fresco all year lonnng.   Bring the kids, they advertise!  Fun for them, too!

So we went.

Entrance into Bottiglia is transcendent, you’d swear you’re on the Italian Coast (with a smidge of The Hamptons for good measure); an all white restaurant with diligent shutters, patterns in all the right places and a wrap-around, 180 degree, Talavera lined patio quietly nestled kitty-corner into GVR (aka you don’t feel like you’re in a casino).  A tan & yellow vintage Vespa + sidecar greets you with a provocative “hello, sit in me for your upcoming most popular photo of the week," open-air kitchens plus an all-view bar so delicately strong with booths so comfy they’ll fit five, or eight, if you like.  Let’s get cozy.  We’re feeling this place.

Simple & classic with a zesty edge.  The entire team welcomed us with the warmth of your best friend’s home and we felt it a perfect brunch day for sparkling Brüt Rosé; we weren’t necessarily celebrating but Bottiglia made us feel like we were.  Super-sips-on-delicious-speed, the bubbles delighted our tummies and got us ready for more; egg white scrambles with avo & asparagus, french toast with blackberries & bourbon maple syrup, burrata + tomato caprese (delish) and dependable fluffy pancakes for our Littles.

The perfect sauce on the metaphorical homemade pasta?  An activity was planned, a craft was on course; KidsQuest reps were on-hand to assist your child in picking out their very own terra-cotta flower pot, painting on said vessel then filling with soil & seed and sprinkling from a water pot.  It was a project (included in price of kid's meal!) that kept them busy the entire wait-time of the food; our children were engaged not only in the arts&crafts aspect but choosing&filling&watering their own Mother Nature's bounty which was then topped off by galavanting freely through Bottiglia's patio.

VEGASMAMAS has decided we want our kitchen to look like Bottiglia's and the chef to be our at-home wondermaker; tried & true Southern Italian food with a twist of exuberant specialties.

This is a place you can go with your girlfriends on a Fun Mom Dinner, get romantic with your partner or bring the whole famdamily (all twenty of them!) for a casually elegant brunch on a Sunday.  No matter the occasion, Bottiglia can give it to you.

It’s worth the drive to Hendertucky.

PS Let's further indulge in VEGASMAMAS' fantasized next Bottiglia adventure: We'd imbibe on “Italian Stallions,” jump into the “Grand Shellfish Towers," slide into a pasta/pizza/charcuterie trance, get down with the lemon poppy seed donuts then refresh with nonalcoholic rosemary lemonades.  And we will wear: large-brimmed straw hats, cascading summer dresses, kind kitty heels and xxxtra sunglasses.  Sorry children, you're staying at home...this is a VEGASMAMAS brunch to be had by mamas-on-repose only!  yes, please.

Dear Bottigilia, we are your puppies.  Now let’s eat.  And play.
